Introducing chihuahua to dog that plays too rough?
My dog is a shar pei mix and he loves to play with other dogs. My neighbor has a chihuahua puppy. Whenever we try to get them together to play, my dog gets way too riled up and plays too rough. I'm afriad he might think the chihauhua is a rabbit or a squirell or maybe even a chew toy. They both seem to be happy (wagging their tails) but my dog went after the chihuahua way too aggressively. How should I teach them to play nicely together?
I would not have these two playing together without a trainer helping you. Chihuahuas are fragile compared to most dogs and if these two don't really need to play together then I would try to find a more appropriate playmate for your dog.

The bigger dog knows that he is bigger so he will know when to stop when it gets to rough.
